Honza, a 7-year-old specialized search dog, plays outside after being reunited with his handler, U.S. Army Sgt. John Nolan, former senior SSD handler previously assigned to the 3rd Military Police Detachment, at Fort Eustis, Va., Feb. 28, 2014. According to Nolan, the ease in Honzas adoption was based on several factors, including the combination of Nolan leaving active duty to join the Army Reserves, the SSD program mission changing and Honzas separation anxiety.
