Cpl. Jong Hyuk Choi and Lance Cpl. Samuel Pierce test the secure communications controller with the help of systems engineers in the combined operations center at Daegu Air Base, Daegu, Republic of Korea March 13. The ROK and U.S. Marines came together to train during Marine Expeditionary Force Exercise 2014. MEFEX 2014 exercises the interoperability and combined capability of Republic of Korea and U.S. Navy and Marine Corps forces. Cpl. Choi is a radio operator with the ROK Marine Corps. Lance Cpl. Pierce is a radio operator with Communications Company, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
