Vietnam veteran Jim Barbour follows one of his dogs into the front yard of his home in Killeen, Texas, which he has lived in for 38 years, Feb. 22, 2014. Barbour, a former Staff Sgt., was a door gunner in the 68th Assault Helicopter Company and logged more than 3,000 flight hours in Vietnam from 1966-1969. He received the Purple Heart for wounds he suffered when an enemy round hit his M60D machine gun during a mission over a river valley in 1967. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
