Staff Sgt. Alexander Thompson, a native of New Albany, Ind. hands down a rare find to Englewood, Oh., native, Capt. Jeffrey Stukey - a M1919 Browning machine gun, Oct 8, 2008. The Browning was commonly used in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War and eventually was replaced by the M60 machine gun. This particular weapon system, a US 1943 model, was being evaluated to see if it could possibly be restored back to its original condition. Thompson and Stukey are both members of the Logistical Training and Advisory Team, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 152nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Sustainment Brigade.
