Sgt. Terrence Holmes, a member of the 551st Medical Company (Logistics), was given a battlefield promotion May 16, 2008 at Al Asad Air Base. Holmes, a native of Branchville, S.C., was the only recipient of 4,500 candidates in the 62nd Medical Brigade to receive the honor.
