Chief Warrant Officer 4 Ronald C. Ivy, the platoon commander for the infantry weapons repair shop, 2nd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, is presented with the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation with a combat distinguishing device by Brig. Gen. Juan G. Ayala, the 2nd MLG commanding general , Oct. 17, 2008. He was given the award for heroic achivment while serving as the logistics advisor for the 1st Iraqi Army Division Military Transition Team, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). "It was an honor and privilege for me to get to do this," Ayala said. "He epitomizes every Marine a rifleman."
