Steve Harwell, frontman for the rock group Smash Mouth, accepts on behalf of the entire band, a framed picture signed by Capt. J.R. Haley, commanding officer, of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington after performing a concert for the ship's crew in the hangar bay. The permanently forward deployed George Washington Carrier Strike Group is conducting training operations in the Pacific Ocean to heighten operational readiness.
