Pfc. Dakota Van Petten, 55th Mobility Augmentation Company, kisses his 3-month-old daughter, Riley, for the first time Monday night, April 28, 2014, at the Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Main Post Chapel during a redeployment ceremony. The 55th MAC, part of the 5th Engineer Battalion, 4th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, has spent approximately the last nine months in Afghanistan. Van Petten was part of the first group of 55th MAC Soldiers who returned to Fort Leonard Wood. The rest of the 55th MAC deployed Soldiers are slated to return home in the near future.
