Ewa Elementary fifth grade students celebrate their graduation from the Star Base Atlantis outreach program by firing rockets they constructed as part of the curriculum at Ford Island. SBA serves local community youths by offering fifth grade students and their teachers an opportunity to participate in a variety of learning experiences designed to increase knowledge and interest in science, technology engineering and math. Capt. Jim Ransom, commander, Submarine Forces Pacific Chief of Staff, was the featured speaker at the ceremony.
