U.S. Army Cpl. Justin Anderson, a native of San Antonio, Texas, and a member of Task Force Larimar, interacts with local citizens to inform them of upcoming medical readiness training exercises (MEDRETES) during the 2014 humanitarian civic assistance mission Beyond the Horizon (BTH) at Palo Alto, Dominican Republic, May 5. BTH is a mission supported by the United States Army South, which provides humanitarian assistance to various Latin American countries. BTH helps by providing medical care to local citizens at no cost and by building schools and medical clinics that may help improve the quality of life of the residents of the countries participating in the event.
