Electronics Technician 1st Class Christopher Olin observes the Ship Control Operator Trainer (SCOT) during a tour of Submarine Learning Center Detachment San Diego (SLCDETSD). SLCDETSD hosted a tour of 40 Cal Poly Pomona, University of Southern California and California State University, Long Beach students and faculty. SCOT is designed like the control room of a submarine. This simulator accurately moves at severe angles to demonstrate the control and actions of a real submarine.
