William Bransom presented Chief Aviation Electronics Technician (AW) John Ficke the Bronze Star Medal on behalf of Multi-National Force- Iraq Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Charles Jacoby, Jr., Feb. 3, 2010. Ficke supported Operation Iraqi Freedom on an individual augmentee assignment as a field site lead for Joint Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare Composition Squadron One (JCCS-1) from March to December 2009.
