Marines with Lima Battery, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, demonstrate the set up of an M777 lightweight howitzer during a partnership with the Make-A-Wish foundation at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms May 13, 2014. Ryan Forbes, a 13 year-old native of San Diego was an honorary Marine for a day with the battery and learned about the lifestyles of the Marines. He was accompanied by his parents and brother, and attended training with the battery, learning how to set up and take down an M777 howitzer and eating lunch with a section. He was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer in January but his diagnosis and current treatment hasnt hampered his enthusiasm for the military.
