Spc. Antwon Faison works to repair a heavy expanded mobility tactical truck, or HEMMT, wrecker for an upcoming convoy logistics support mission as Pvt. Shawn Moses offers assistance from the ground. Faison is from Warsaw, N.C. and Moses is from Freeport, Texas. Both are all-wheeled vehicle mechanics for the 317th Maintenance Company ground support equipment, or GSE, Recovery Team, 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade. They routinely fix the HEMMT wreckers while conducting pre-combat checks, or PCC, and pre-combat inspections, or PCI, before missions. Faison and Moses have operated the HEMMT wreckers for the GSE Recovery Team on approximately 25 convoy logistic support missions since mid-September 2008.
