Deployed service members bow their heads for a moment of silence in remembrance of Navy Lt. Michael Murphy prior to conducting the "Memorial Day Murph" aboard Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, May 24, 2014. Murphy was a Navy Seal who was killed while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan during 2005. The "Murph" is a popular CrossFit exercise consisting of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups, 300 squats and another mile run following the other exercises. The service members performed the Murph to reflect upon of Memorial Day and remember his service and the sacrifice he and his comrades made.
