Sergeant Major James McCook, Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa SgtMaj stands at attention during the National Anthem during the Belleau Wood Memorial Day Ceremony. Each year around this time Marines from this headquarters make the five-hour drive to France within 50 miles of Paris to support the annual Belleau Wood Ceremony. This year participation included placing flags in front of each grave stone, crowd control, wreath bearers and photography of the events.
