Pennsylvania recently became the 47th state to participate in the DoD Fresh Fruits and Vegetables program with Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support. The program is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National School Lunch Program, which allocates federal dollars to public and nonprofit private schools, providing nutritional meals at little or no cost to students.
