A Lithuanian Soldier explains the use and functions of military equipment to a local community member during a multinational static equipment display held by Denmark, Lithuania, Poland and U.S. militaries, in Rukla, Lithuania, June 15, 2014. Military equipment was featured along with light weaponry. The display was in response to the community’s vast interest in the foreign equipment that has been roaming the city due to Saber Strike 14. Saber Strike 14 is a joint, multinational military exercise scheduled June 9-20, spanning multiple locations in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia and involving approximately 4,500 personnel from 10 nations. The exercise is designed to promote regional stability, strengthen international military partnerships, enhance multinational interoperability and prepare participants for worldwide contingency operations.
