Aviation Electrician’s Mate 1st Class Eric Trask, from Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 78, shares functions of the MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter with Lt. Siti Munirah, aviation engineer from the Royal Malaysian Navy, aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91) during a subject matter expert exchange. HSM-78 and Pinckney are participating in exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2014. In its 20th year, CARAT is an annual, bilateral exercise series with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the armed forces of nine partner nations including Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
