Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley (right), the chief of the U.S. Army Reserve and commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve, encourages Sarah Thompson, Brig. Gen. Tracy A. Thompson's daughter, to fling Thompson's one-star patch away as he dons major general during his ceremonial promotion to major general.
