    GySgt. Joe Perera, native of Los Angeles, Calif, talks to Cpl. Kyle Carpenter, Medal of Honor recipient, during Carpenter's visit to Marine Week Seattle. The Marines talked about the Tactical Robotic Controller (TRC) and Combat Robotic System which are two technologies being examined by the Marine Corps' Futures Directorate. The TRC is a common controller that can be used on a variety of unmanned platforms. The CRS is a surrogate technology that is allowing the Marine Corps to learn how technology like a weaponized squad robot could be employed or integrated with Marine Corps operating forces.
