Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime Group members maneuver through an abandoned hotel during a direct action training scenario as part of the Joint Interagency Task Force (JIATF) West exercise Aug. 6, 2014, in Puerto Princesa, Philippines. PNP police officers received training from U.S. Army, Operational Detachment-Alpha Special Forces operators to increase their capabilities in support of counterdrug efforts during JIATF West. The mission of JIATF West is to reduce threats in the Asia-Pacific by combating drug related transnational organized crime.
