An illumination round is fired from an M777A2 howitzer from Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, by Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Aug. 22, 2014. The round was part of a shoot that allowed the 2-77 FA to register, or zero, the howitzers and provided training for a fire support team from Delta Company, 1st Bn., 12th Inf. Regt., 4th IBCT, 4th Inf. Div., who called the rounds down range.
