Two FA-18D Hornets from Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533, currently assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force take off on the opening day of Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a joint biennial exercise that allows the different branches of the U.S. military to practice combining their strength’s to accomplish missions at sea, in the air, on land, and in cyberspace.
