Dr. Yogendra Gupta details the capabilities of the Pulsed Power Facility used in physics research to Rear Admiral James Symonds, Commander Navy Region Northwest. Dr. Gupta is the Director of the Institute for Shock Physics at Washington State University. Rear Adm. Symonds is inspecting the facility in conjunction with Spokane Navy Week from May 11-18. This Navy Week is one of 21 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2009. Navy Weeks are designed to increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
