Vice Adm. Patrick M. Walsh, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Commander U.S. Fifth Fleet, Commander Combined Maritime Forces speaks to chief petty officers aboard USS Ronald Reagan about the importance of the U. S. Navy in the Arabian Gulf. Reagan is currently deployed as part of a routine rotation of U.S. maritime forces in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, as well as conducting Maritime Security Operations in the region. MSO set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts in regional nations.
