Stennis. John C. Stennis is participating in Exercise Foal Eagle 2009, a defense-oriented annual training exercise with the Republic of Korea demonstrating U.S. commitment to regional peace and stability. Stennis and Carrier Air Wing 9 are on a scheduled six-month deployment to the western Pacific Ocean.
