Sgt. Jesus Garcia, rifleman, Provisional Rifle Platoon , Company A, Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force, provides instruction to a Marine during fire and maneuver drills executed at the company’s barracks, Oct. 22, 2014. The Co. A PRP is made up of male and female volunteers from numerous military occupational specialties who have had no additional infantry-specific training since Marine Combat Training. From October 2014 to July 2015, the Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force will conduct individual and collective skills training in designated combat arms occupational specialties in order to facilitate the standards based assessment of the physical performance of Marines in a simulated operating environment performing specific ground combat arms tasks.
