Jason Kjos listens to narrators during the 116th chief petty officer birthday celebration held aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in hangar bay 2. Eisenhower's Command Master Chief Petty Officer Bryan Exum stated, "we are taking this day to accentuate the 'S' in 'USN' on a chief's anchors. The 'S' stand for service and it's even more important to serve the Sailors today on our 116th birthday." The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group is underway for a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the on-going rotation of forward-deployed forces to support maritime security operations and operate in international waters across the globe.
