Katter, 28, Linwood, N.Y., critical care nurse, Health Service Detachment, Shock Trauma Platoon, Combat Logistics Battalion 11, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, gave instruction to two 1st MLG corpsmen as a team leader during a lab at the Navy Trauma Training Center. Seaman Stephen Thienes, 22, Stockton, Calif., Company C, 1st Medical Battalion and Petty Officer 1st Class Percival Boral, 31, Oxnord, Calif., HSD, Combat Logistics Battalion 15, CLR-17, assist her while she prepares to establish a secure airway. This is part of extensive training offered to enlisted health care members by the Navy Trauma Training Center before deploying.
