Katter, 28, Linwood, N.Y., critical care nurse, Health Service Detachment, Shock Trauma Platoon, Combat Logistics Battalion 11, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, attends advance training at the Navy Trauma Training Center in Los Angeles. She educates other corpsman how to properly use a medical tool on a mock patient. Katter said she plans to apply the skills she learns here on a future deployment with the Shock Trauma Platoon.
