U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Ken Thier, from Bel Air, Md., poses for a photograph with Christy Carlson Romano, during a Hollywood celebrity meet-and-greet session for U.S. service members at Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar, April 17. Maeve Quinlan, Don McManus, Paul Johansson and Gabrielle Tuite were also present. "I cannot thank them enough," said Thier. "It's great to see actors take time out of their careers to boost our morale. I've seen Christy a lot on 'Even Stevens.' Her parts always present a positive role model. She plays the average kid – the one who keeps her head up and drives on." Romano began her acting career as an orphan in the movie "Annie." She then went on tour with Marie Osmond in "The Sound of Music," as one of the Von Trapp children. More recently, she is well known for her roles in "Kim Possible," as the voice of the lead character.
