Southern Nash High School Air Force JROTC cadets during their field training exercise held on campus in Bailey, North Carolina, Nov. 19, 2014. North Carolina National Guard veterans Army Sgt. 1st Class John Setera and Sgt. 1st Class David McCray helped train the students and run the event. The cadets face an opposing force of insurgents and civilians played by fellow students in the half mile of woods turned into a training event. The training scenario is to patrol the area, make contact with the local population and drive the enemy back.
