Guest speaker Rolf Gompertz holds up his father's medal during his speech at the Holocaust Days of Remembrance commemoration at Reggies, April 22. Gompertz's Family experienced Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, in Nov. 9, 1938. Shortly thereafter, his Family fled their hometown of Krefeld Germany, only months before the onset of World War II and the Holocaust.
