1st Lt. Scott Baccigalopi, 2nd Battalion 149th General Support Aviation Battalion Battle Capitan from Manvel, Texas, received an Air Medal at an award ceremony on Joint Base Balad, Iraq on May 5. Awards were given by Maj. Peter Vanprooyen, 2-149th GSAB operations officer. An Air Medal is given to recognize those who are on current crew member flying status which requires them to participate in aerial flight on a regular and frequent basis in the performance of their primary duties.
