On Jan. 17, Col. Richard E. Ciochon, chief of staff of the 79th Sustainment Support Command, (4th from the left) served as a panelist during the 2015 Service Academy Nomination Interview panel, Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, Calif. Congressman Alan Lowenthal of the 47th Congressional District, (5th from the left) held the interviews as part of the 2015 Academy Advisory Board,which considers applications for the class of 2018. “It is my privilege and honor to be requested to nominate outstanding students from my district to the United States Service Academies. Everyone in the 47th District can be proud of the many talented, high-achieving students who wish to serve our nation as future leaders of the armed forces" said Lowenthal.
