Mohammad Ashraf Rasulle, legal adviser for Afghan President Hamid Karzai, pins an Afghan Bravery Medal from the presidential palace on Lt. Col. David Dellinger, commander of the 101st Airborne Division's Special Troops Battalion and Task Force Gladiator, at Bagram Air Field on May 20. The award was an expression of appreciation for TF Gladiator's efforts in providing security and initiating successful developmental projects in the Parwan province, including new schools, road construction and natural resource and irrigation development. Dellinger is the first U.S. Army officer to receive the Afghan award.
