Kohl relinquished his command of the brigade to Col. Luke Burnett during the ceremony. Beard congratulated Kohl on the many accomplishments of the brigade during his tenure, which included several unit deployments to Afghanistan, the 2012 Democratic National Convention, major engineer projects throughout the state and state active duty events for hurricanes and tropical storms.
