Georgia Air National Guard Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Thomas R. Moore, personally welcomes community influencers and media to Sentry Savannah 2015, an NGB fighter aircraft exercise combining multi-service air/ground assets of the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and National Guard. The Georgia Air National Guard's Air Dominance Center host 1,400 total force service members supporting the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world today. Moore zipped his flight suit and took to the air and commented on the evolution of aerial combat. ”(At the beginning of my career) there was no GPS, we depended on radar, celestial navigation and dead reckoning," Moore said of the training evolution. "Now all information is centralized in your helmet giving accuracy in air capabilities and engagement." (Georgia Department of Defense photo by Staff Sgt. Tracy J. Smith)
