Marines with Marine Wing Communication Squadron 28 take part in a 10-mile squadron conditioning hike at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C. March 5, 2015. The hike was the capstone event of the squadron’s biannual Leonidas Award competition, which pitted Marines from the squadron’s three companies against one another for a place in MWCS-28 history. The Leonidas Award serves to build camaraderie and esprit de corps within the noncommissioned officer and junior ranks of the squadron.
