Joseph Murphey, an historical architect with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Fort Worth District, produced interpretive panels that will tell the storied history of Walter Reed Army Medical Center. They will be arranged this year along a walking tour of the site. The tour and photo inventory are part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission process that is repurposing the Washington complex for new uses.
