Vice Adm. Bill Gortney, left, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, and Royal Navy Commodore Tim Lowe, deputy commander, Combined Maritime Forces, tour the Iraqi navy flagship Fatah. Fatah left La Spezia, Italy, on its maiden voyage in mid-May after several months of training to prepare for the voyage to Umm Qasr, Iraq. Fatah will provide security for Iraqi oil terminals and is the first of four Italian-built ships directly contracted from Italy to arrive in the region.
