Sgt. 1st Class Mark Thompson, 10th Sustainment Brigade Human Resources Section non-commissioned officer in charge, and native of Louisville, Ky., received the Major General Horatio Gates Bronze Medal on June 13 from Col. Steven Shea, the director of the 14th Human Resources Sustainment Center, during the 10th Sustainment Brigade's 234th birthday celebration of the Adjutant General's Corps. This award recognizes his significant achievements and service in promoting the objectives and purposes of the Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association and the Adjutant General's Corps. Sgt. 1st Class Thompson received the Major General Horatio Gates Bronze Medal for faithfully serving the Adjutant General's Corps and the U.S. Army in key leadership and technical positions for over 18 years. The Major General Horatio Gates Bronze Medal is the second highest award authorized by the Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association.
