Red Team veteran Army Sgt. Alexander Shaw of Clarksville, Tenn., looks for a way past the defense of Yellow Team’s Army Sgt. Nicolas Titman, Fort Carson, Colo., Warrior Transition Unit, during second half action of the Army Warrior Games Trials gold medal game. Shaw led all scorers in the finals with 13 points en route to his team’s 31-22 victory. Approximately 80 wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers and veterans are at Fort Bliss, Texas, to train and compete in a series of athletic events including archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field, and wheelchair basketball. Army Trials, conducted by the Warrior Transition Command and hosted by Fort Bliss, are March 29-April. Army Trials help determine who will get a spot on the Department of Defense Warrior Games 2015 Army Team in June at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va.
