A student in the Coast Guard’s Advanced Marksmanship Instructor Course conducts target practice with the M4 carbine at the Special Missions Training Center, April 15, 2014. This three-week course provides advanced interdiction and counterterrorism advanced marksmanship instruction and coaching techniques to personnel assigned to the Coast Guard’s Maritime Safety and Security Teams, Maritime Special Response Team and Tactical Law Enforcement Teams, preparing them to instruct others at their units in similar techniques as Marksmanship Unit Master Trainers.
