Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, cuts the ceremonial ribbon at the entrance of the Peshgur School for Girls, along with Panjshir Governor Haji Bahlol in the eastern Afghanistan province, July 15. Also in attendance was Greg Mortenson, author of "Three Cups of Tea." Mortenson, who coordinated the building of the school's construction, promotes and supports community-based education, especially for girls, in remote regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
