Scott Nicholas observe the gunnery range as Soldiers from the 1-149th Attack-Reconnaissance Battalion, 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, conduct AH-64D “Apache” aerial gunnery during a training exercise at Fort Hood April 21, 2015. The battalion, commanded by Nicholas, is based in Houston and is part of the 36th Infantry Division. While most of the Soldiers are from the Texas Army National Guard, the 1-149th includes a company from the Mississippi Army National Guard.
