The amphibious assault ship USS Boxer is underway with the amphibious transport dock ship New Orleans. Boxer and New Orleans, both ships of Amphibious Squadron 5, are returning to their homeport of San Diego after a deployment to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit are returning from a seven-month deployment supporting global maritime security.
