Vice Adm. William Gortney, commander, U.S. 5th Fleet, talks to the crew members of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) about their participation in Operation Enduring Freedom during an all hands call. During the all hands call Vice Adm. Gortney expressed his gratitude for Sailors who volunteered to serve their country during a time of war. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
