Clearfield, Pa., native Spc. David Robbins strums his guitar in his room at Camp Adder, Iraq. Robbins has joined the 28th Combat Aviation Brigade deployment from his home unit, Company A, 128th Brigade Support Battalion. Robbins is a motor transport operator and has been assigned to Company A, 628th Aviation Support Battalion. Robbins has a love of music and he plays guitar and piano. His focus is guitar and Robbins said he has been playing for ten years. "I am a perfectionist," he said, as he explains his desire to be technically proficient on his favorite instrument. Robbins plays guitar in his own band, Helios Eternus, which he said falls into the death-core genre of heavy metal music, and the band writes their own original music. Robbins encourages budding musicians and he gives lessons in his home town in the local music stores. After he returns home from deployment Robbins plans on taking things easy and having some down time to relax. Of course, he will continue to play guitar and practice with his band. Robbins will also continue to give guitar lessons for anyone interested in learning his skills he said.
